A Vascular Microphysiological Model of Lung Fibrosis Reveals That Myofibroblasts and IPF Patient‐Derived Fibroblasts Impair Angiogenesis and Vasculogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A microphysiological lung fibrosis model recapitulates myofibroblast–vascular interactions. Induced myofibroblasts and patient‐derived IPF fibroblasts impair angiogenesis and increase vascular permeability via TGF‐β1–driven signaling. Pharmacological interventions with SB 431542 and VEGF supplementation restore vascular morphology and barrier function.

Analysed statistically Modelling and Optimization of Laser Machining by Response Surface Methodology

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
One of the important goals of this research is to predict a relationship between the process input parameters and resultants from surface roughness features through developing a laser cutting model.

Research Status of Green Efficient Corrosion Inhibitors [PDF]

open access: yesCailiao Baohu
Corrosion inhibitors are widely used because they have the characteristics of trace and high efficiency, can prevent metal corrosion, while maintaining the physical and mechanical properties of the metal unchanged, and easy to use.Traditional metal ...

Probing the anomalous dynamical phase in long-range quantum spin chains through Fisher-zero lines

open access: yes, 2017
Using the framework of infinite Matrix Product States, the existence of an \textit{anomalous} dynamical phase for the transverse-field Ising chain with sufficiently long-range interactions was first reported in [J.~C.~Halimeh and V.~Zauner-Stauber, arXiv:

Region‐to‐Region Unidirectional Connection In Vitro Brain Model for Studying Directional Propagation of Neuropathologies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A unidirectional cerebral organoid–organoid neural circuit is established using a microfluidic platform, enabling controlled directional propagation of electrical signals, neuroinflammatory cues, and neurodegenerative disease–related proteins between spatially separated organoids.

Pumpkin Seedling Leaf Vein Extraction System Based on Deep Learning and Rule-Based Methods

open access: yesAgriculture
Pumpkin seedlings serve as rootstocks for watermelon grafting, and the partial leaf trimming operation performed approximately two days before grafting is crucial for the survival rate of grafted watermelon seedlings.

Diagrammatic expansion for positive density-response spectra: Application to the electron gas

open access: yes, 2015
In a recent paper [Phys. Rev. B 90, 115134 (2014)] we put forward a diagrammatic expansion for the self-energy which guarantees the positivity of the spectral function. In this work we extend the theory to the density response function.

Golden‐Ratio–Guided Aperiodic Architected Metamaterials with Simultaneously Enhanced Strength and Toughness

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Guided by the golden ratio, a class of aperiodic architected metamaterials is introduced to address the intrinsic trade‐off between strength and toughness. By unifying local geometric heterogeneity with global order, the golden‐ratio‐guided aperiodic architecture promotes spatial delocalization of damage tolerence regions, leading to more tortuous ...

Traveling Salesman Problem with Transportation [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2006
Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) is a generic name that includes diverse practical models. Motivated by applications, a new model of TSP is examined – a synthesis of classical TSP and classical Transportation Problem.
