I analyze an unexpected connection between multiple orthogonal polynomials, d d -orthogonal polynomials, production matrices and branched continued fractions. This work can be viewed as a partial extension of Viennotâs combinatorial theory of orthogonal polynomials to the case where the production matrix is lower-Hessenberg but is not ...

Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistanceâarea product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEADâpredicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

Liquid Metal Microrobots for Magnetically Guided Transvascular Navigation
Liquid metalâbased microrobots combine magnetic steering, intrinsic Xâray visibility and softness, to navigate blood vessels even against flow. Under clinically relevant magnetic fields, liquid metal microrobots roll along vessel walls, cross endothelial barriers, and accumulate in target tissues.

Emergent Freestanding Complex Oxide Membranes for Multifunctional Applications
This review surveys freestanding oxide membranes and covers fabrication and three pathways for studies and devices: strainâfree and strained membranes, and van der Waalsâintegrated heterostructures. We show how coupled oxide responses map onto these routes and crossâcouple to expand behaviors.

Surface roughness and chemistry of novolakâbased grayscale resists are dependent on both exposure dose and postâexposure thermal treatment. The observed trends align with the viscoelastic phase separation model and underscore the need to consider both thermodynamic and kinetic factors in resist processing. By tailoring thermal treatment, it is possible

Nonequilibrium Period with Emergence of Marangoni Circulations in Meniscus Splitting
The emergence and evolution of Marangoni convection in the meniscus splitting phenomenon are investigated. During the mass circulation of viscous fluids, the confluence and bifurcation of polymer dispersions beneath the evaporative interface lead to the inhomogeneous densification of the skin layer.
