On branched continued fractions rational interpolation over pyramid-typed grids
Numerical Algorithms, 2009Rational interpolation in three dimensions and branched continued fractions are studied and applied. For this, also error estimates (with a remainder formula) and computational algorithms are provided. In order to facilitate the computations, three-term recurrence relations are established which are also used to show a characterization theorem.

On the stability of branching continued fractions
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 1996We study two aspects of the stability problem for various types of branching fractions using the domains of the elements, the region of convergence, and limit-periodic fractions.

Development of the Theory of Branched Continued Fractions in 1996–2016
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2018The authors analyze the research in the theory of branching continued fractions carried out during the last 20 years in the directions developed under the general supervision of Professor V. Ya. Skorobogatko (18.07.1927--04.07.1996). Some of the directions are the interpolation of functions of several variables by branching continued fractions, the ...

Evaluation of Branched Continued Fractions using Block-Tridiagonal Linear Systems
IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis, 1988It is shown the convergent of a branched continued fraction (for the definition see the previous review) can be considered as the first unknown of a block-tridiagonal linear system. Hence algorithms for the solution of such systems of equations can be used for the computation of convergents of branched continued fractions.
