Harnessing Photo‐Energy Conversion in Nanomaterials for Precision Theranostics
Harnessing photo‐energy conversion in nanomaterials enables precision theranostics through light‐driven mechanisms such as photoluminescence, photothermal, photoelectric, photoacoustic, photo‐triggered surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), and photodynamic processes. This review explores six fundamental principles of photo‐energy conversion, recent

Maxima of branching random walks vs. independent random walks
AbstractIn recent years several authors have obtained limit theorems for the location of the right most particle in a supercritical branching random walk. In this paper we will consider analogous problems for an exponentially growing number of independent random walks.

A Chernoff bound for branching random walk
Concentration inequalities, which prove to be very useful in a variety of fields, provide fairly tight bounds for large deviation probability while central limit theorem (CLT) describes the asymptotic distribution around the mean (within scope of $\sqrt ...

The Seneta–Heyde scaling for the branching random walk
We consider the boundary case (in the sense of Biggins and Kyprianou [Electron. J. Probab. 10 (2005) 609--631] in a one-dimensional super-critical branching random walk, and study the additive martingale $(W_n)$. We prove that, upon the system's survival, $n^{1/2}W_n$ converges in probability, but not almost surely, to a positive limit.

Tuning the Morphological Properties of Granular Hydrogels to Control Lymphatic Capillary Formation
Tuning the morphological properties of granular hydrogels is essential to generate robust lymphatic capillary networks that express key lymphatic gene and protein markers. The study demonstrates that 3D in vitro lymphatic tube formation is controlled not by the mechanical properties of the gel, but by the pore size and topology (periodicity) of the gel
