A nomenclatorial confusion in Tanymastigidae (Crustacea: Branchiopoda: Anostraca)
Zootaxa, 2013Brtek (1972) established the subfamily Tanymastiginae into Branchipodidae for the genus Tanymastix Simon, 1886 and his new genus Tanymastigites. Although the author did not explicitly designate a type genus, he created the subfamily name on the stem of the older genus that he included in his new subfamily.

Anomopoda (Crustacea: Branchiopoda) from some Venezuelan tepuis
Hydrobiologia, 1998Seven anomnopodan species were recorded from top of Roraima and Ptari tepuis. Alona rusticoides is new species and Acroperus sp., Alonella cf. excisa and Paralona pigra seem to be different from species described from Europe.

Carinthia II, 2006
For the first time since 1918, the tadpole shrimp Triops cancriformis was rediscovered in Carinthia, on a military training camp in Klagenfurt in May 2006. The co-occurring fairy shrimp species Branchipus schaefferi is new for Carinthia.
