Thick Branes in Horndeski Gravity
We investigate thick brane solutions in the Horndeski gravity. In this setup, we found analytical solutions, applying the first‐order formalism to two scalar fields where the first field comes from the nonminimal scalar‐tensor coupling and the second is due to the matter contribution sector.

Fractional Branes, Confinement, and Dynamically Generated Superpotentials [PDF]
We examine the effects of instantons in four dimensional N=1 supersymmetric gauge theory by including D0-branes in type IIA brane constructions. We examine instanton generated superpotentials in supersymmetric QCD and find that they are due to a ...

A Study of the Early Cosmic Dynamics in a Multifield Model of Inflation and Curvature Perturbations
In this work, we study the cosmological dynamics of the early universe by employing a small field potential in the context of multifield inflation. By investigating analytically the cosmological observables, such as the number of e‐folds N, potential slow‐roll parameters ϵV, ηV, and spectral index ns which carry significant information, we show that ...

The non-integrability of strings in massive type IIA and their holographic duals
In this work we study various aspects of six-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = (1, 0) SCFTs. We consider the construction of their string duals in Massive IIA and discuss some observables in given examples.

Duality cascades and affine Weyl groups
Brane configurations in a circle allow subsequent applications of the Hanany-Witten transitions, which are known as duality cascades. By studying the process of duality cascades corresponding to quantum curves with symmetries of Weyl groups, we find a ...

D-Branes and Dual Gauge Theories in Type 0 String Theory
We consider the type 0 theories, obtained from the closed NSR string by a diagonal GSO projection which excludes space-time fermions, and study the D-branes into these theories. The low-energy dynamics of N coincident D-branes is governed by a U(N) gauge

A Goldstone theorem for continuous non-invertible symmetries
We study systems with an Adler-Bell-Jackiw anomaly in terms of non-invertible symmetry. We present a new kind of non-invertible charge defect where a key role is played by a local current operator localized on the defect.

Teleparallel Gravity and Dimensional Reductions of Noncommutative Gauge Theory
We study dimensional reductions of noncommutative electrodynamics on flat space which lead to gauge theories of gravitation. For a general class of such reductions, we show that the noncommutative gauge fields naturally yield a Weitzenbock geometry on ...

Supersymmetric Defect Models and Mirror Symmetry [PDF]
We study supersymmetric field theories in three space-time dimensions doped by various configurations of electric charges or magnetic fluxes. These are supersymmetric avatars of impurity models.

(p − 1)-bracket for Dp-branes in large R-R field background
The volume-preserving diffeomorphism is a key feature that characterizes the large constant R-R (p − 1)-form field background in a Dp-brane theory. It represents a symmetry of the theory that preserves the volume of space.
