Heat and Cold Waves in Brazil: An ERA5‐Based Analysis of Trends and Seasonality (1980–2024)

This study uses ERA5 reanalysis data to assess changes in extreme heat and cold events across Brazil from 1980 to 2024. Results reveal a sharp increase in heatwave frequency and a general decline in coldwave occurrences, though regional variations are substantial.

Superposition of structures in the interference zone between the southern Brasília belt and the central Ribeira belt in the region SW of Itajubá (MG), SE Brazil

: The study area is localized in the Socorro nappe, part of the southern Brasília belt, with a minor part in the Embu terrane, part of the central Ribeira belt. Three phases of deformation were detected, Dn-1, Dn and Dn+1.

Metamorphic modeling and petrochronology of metapelitic rocks from the Luminárias Nappe, southern Brasília belt (SE Brazil)

The Luminárias Nappe was formed in the agglutination of West Gondwana. A high-pressure metamorphic gradient oblique to the geological contacts is recorded in metapelitic rocks from this Nappe.
