In this paper, we reported vacuum breakdown characteristics for some kinds of stainless steel electrodes, for example, SUS304, SUS304L, SUS316, SUS316L, SUS310, SUS321 which are stainless steel alloy of different component ratio. These electrodes have different contamination degree on the surface.

Breakdown Characteristics of Moving Transformer Oil
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1981As a result of investigating breakdown characteristics of moving oil, it has become clear that the breakdown voltage of ac and dc for moving oil is higher than that for stationary oil by 10-15 % at a moving velocity of 5 cm/s region; the former voltage becomes almost equal to the latter voltage in the region of 25 cm/s, and the former is reduced to ...

Characteristics of Edge Breakdowns on Teflon Samples
IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 1980Geosynchronous satellites have been observed to exhibit anomalous behavior attributable to electrical discharges resulting from differential charging of satellite surfaces by energetic electrons. A program has been undertaken to study the characteristics of electrical discharges induced on silverbacked Teflon samples irradiated by a monoenergetic beam ...

Breakdown voltage characteristics in a narrow gap
Conference on Electrical Insulation & Dielectric Phenomena - Annual Report 1982, 1982Static breakdown in most gases is in accordance with the Paschen's law for pressures up to a few atmospheres, at normal temperatures and uniform-field. However, departures from Paschen's law are observed notably for very small spacing or high pressure.
