Minority Carrier Tunneling and Stress-Induced Leakage Current for p+ gate MOS Capacitors with Poly-Si and PolySi0.7Ge0.3 Gate Material [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
In this paper the I-V conduction mechanism for gate injection (-V g), Stress-Induced Leakage Current (SILC) characteristics and time-to-breakdown (tbd) of PMOS capacitors with p+-poly-Si and poly-SiGe gate material on 5.6, 4.8 and 3.1 nm oxide thickness ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Mass spectra of neutral particles released during electrical breakdown of thin polymer films [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A special type of time-of-flight mass spectrometer triggered from the breakdown event was developed to study the composition of the neutral particle flux released during the electrical breakdown of polymer films problem. Charge is fed onto a metal-backed

Pre-breakdown characteristics of contaminated power transformer oil [PDF]

open access: yes2007 Annual Report - Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena, 2007
In this paper we have studied pre-breakdown characteristics of transformer oil in the presence of different levels of contamination. The contaminant is fibrous dust from pressboard insulation used for high voltage transformers. The contamination level investigated in the present study ranges from 0.0025 to 0.0075% by weight.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Study on Breakdown Characteristics of On-Train High-Voltage Combined Electrical Apparatus Under Lightning Transient Conditions

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The high-voltage system of high-speed trains is now in the form of combined electrical apparatus, which has a high probability of insulation breakdown due to frequent overvoltage during operation.

Study on the breakdown characteristics of conductor-plane gap under vegetation fire condition based on the combustion features

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The frequent forest fires become a serious threat to the performance of transmission lines’ external insulation, therefore, researches on the breakdown characteristics under flame conditions is of great significance for the transmission lines ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Effect of Thickness on the Breakdown Characteristics of Organic Insulation Materials under Microsecond Pulse Voltage

open access: yesEnergies
Thickness affects the electrical breakdown strength (EBD) of insulation materials, and the variation of EBD with thickness (d) is an important basis for insulation design.
