Phase boundaries between Co2P and CoP are constructed through a controlled transformation of Co to Co2P‐CoP branched nanoparticles. The polycrystalline mixed‐phase Co2P‐CoP branches are enriched with phase boundaries that stabilize Co active sites for OER. This work highlights phase boundary engineering as a powerful approach to tailor active sites and

Quantifying Bioluminescent Light Intensity in Breaking Waves Using Numerical Simulations
Breaking‐wave induced bioluminescence is a critical component of the biogeochemical process in the ocean. Understanding bioluminescence is important for monitoring red tides caused by bioluminescent microorganisms.

Simulation of non-breaking and breaking waves with OpenFOAM
Wave breaking is one of the most violent phenomena of air-water interface interactions, producing strong turbulence with air bubbles, water droplets, jets and sprays.

Why Is the Mechanism Underlying the Chiral‐Induced Selectivity Effect Still Challenging?
The chiral‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect is observed in many experimental configurations and for different materials. However, there are theoretical challenges in attempting to explain those results. A qualitative framework for explaining all the results is presented.

Laboratory measurements of the flow beneath microscale breaking waves
Microscale breaking wave are short gravity waves that break without air entrainment. Microscale breaking waves occur at low to moderate wind speeds (i.e. 4–12 m s−1) and are typically O(0.1–1)m in length.

Rethinking Charge Transport and Recombination in Donor‐Diluted Organic Solar Cells
Organic solar cells with 1–45% PM6 content in Y12 were studied to link structure and charge dynamics to performance. The conductivity follows a 3D percolation model without a sharp threshold. Donor dilution preserves the photogeneration yield, but limits the fill factor due to transport resistance losses.

Long Waves: Conceptual, Empirical and Modelling Issues
The theory of long waves is exceptionally fortunate in that, while there is no general consensus that they exist or, assuming that they do, what an appropriate theory should be, due to the unstinting efforts of several researchers, we have encyclopaedic ...

The modelling of large individual waves for the computation of loads on ships and offshore structures in extreme weather conditions is still a challenging problem. Since the early 50s the predictions of loads on fixed offshore structures and motions of compliant or sailing structures due to surface waves are commonly made by computations on the basis ...

Acoustical studies of breaking surface waves in the open ocean
The work presented in this thesis consists of two parts: development and application of a novel passive acoustical approach for field measurement of breaking surface waves, and interpretation of the resulting observations in terms of wave field ...
