Image-Guided Breast Conserving Surgery [PDF]
Background: Breast-conserving surgery (BCS) has gained wide acceptance as the treatment of choice for early-stage breast cancer. One of the primary goals of BCS is to obtain tumor-free resection margins.

Chronic stress drives autophagy‐mediated β2‐AR degradation, impairing antiviral immunity and promoting poxvirus lethality. Lycorine directly stabilizes β2‐AR to restore host defense, suppress excessive inflammation and improve survival. ABSTRACT Psychological stress is a pervasive yet poorly understood modulator of infectious disease outcomes. Here, we

Optimizing Outcomes in Oncoplastic Breast-Conserving Surgery
Oncoplastic breast-conserving surgery (OBCS), or oncoplastic surgery, has revolutionized the surgical management of breast cancer by integrating oncologic principles with reconstructive techniques to optimize both cancer control and aesthetic outcomes ...

Introduction: Oncoplastic breast surgery (OBS) has been implemented with increasing frequency in the treatment of breast cancer. The aim of this study was to compare the oncologic outcome after OBS to the outcome after conventional breast-conserving ...

SLC8A1 deficiency in colorectal cancer cells increases intracellular calcium signaling, promoting the secretion of ANXA2‐enriched small extracellular vesicles. These vesicles reprogram tumor‐associated macrophages towards an M2 phenotype, which in turn fosters a tumor microenvironment conducive to radioresistance and is associated with poor patient ...

Breast Conservation Surgery: State of the Art
Breast conservation surgery is available to the vast majority of women with breast cancer. The combination of neoadjuvant therapies and oncoplastic surgical techniques allows even large tumours to be managed with a breast-conserving approach. The relationship between breast size and the volume of tissue to be excised determines the need for volume ...

Chemotherapy leverages tumor‐cell autophagy to reshape the colorectal cancer immune microenvironment. Autophagy degrades FBXW2 to promote C/EBPβ‐mediated TIMP‐2 transcription and MMP‐9 suppression, driving intra‐tumoral CD8+ T‐cell infiltration. Targeting MMP‐2/9 or restoring TIMP‐2 overcomes chemo‐resistance in autophagy‐deficient tumors. ABSTRACT The

Breast-Conserving Surgery without Radiotherapy [PDF]
Radiotherapy effectively prevents local recurrences, but on the other hand still over 80% of non irradiated women are free from local relapse 5 years after breast surgery aiming at radical removal of the primary tumor. So far, there are no indications that radiotherapy to the breast after breast conservation saves lives.

ABSTRACT Platinum‐based chemotherapy resistance remains a major obstacle in gastric cancer (GC) treatment. Through integrated transcriptomic profiling of cisplatin‐resistant xenografts and pharmacogenomic interrogation of the NCI‐60 dataset, we identified Prohibitin‐2 (PHB2) as a previously unrecognized determinant of chemoresistance.

An interpretable, unsupervised artificial intelligence framework identifies a 13‐cellular morphometric biomarker (CMB) signature from routine H&E whole‐slide images. Validated across 2,602 patients, the fixed signature generalizes across colorectal, gastric, and esophageal tissues without retraining, stratifies prognosis and precancerous lesion risk ...
