A Critical Time Window of Neocortex Modulation for Remote Fear Memory in Rats and Humans
This study identifies a delayed consolidation window around 18 h after fear learning in the mPFC essential for remote fear memory. VTA dopaminergic input during this window sustains remote memory in rats, while non‐invasive stimulation of homologous human mPFC at the corresponding time selectively weakens remote but not recent fear memory, revealing a ...

BackgroundA challenging problem for patients undergoing breast-conserving surgery after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) is the accuracy of preoperative tumor localization. After chemotherapy, the original tumor is likely to shrink or scatter dramatically

Gemcitabine resistance remains a major challenge in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. This study identifies STYK1 as a key mediator of chemoresistance through autophagy‐dependent maintenance of cancer stemness. Gemcitabine‐activated AMPK phosphorylates STYK1 at Ser91 and Ser304, enhancing autophagy and stemness.

Summary:. Breast-conserving therapy, where radiotherapy is performed after partial mastectomy, is a widely used surgical method that can preserve most of the breast tissue without increasing the recurrence rate of breast cancer.

A novel approach for local treatment of breast cancer [PDF]
Early local recurrence of breast cancer most commonly (over 90%) occurs at the site of the primary tumour. This is true whether or not radiotherapy is given and irrespective of the margin status. Whole-organ analysis of mastectomy specimens on the other

The present study shows that Nrf2 directly binds to the Gm26550 promoter, thereby activating Gm26550 transcription and increasing its expression. Mechanistically, Gm26550 promotes IGF1 expression by functionally antagonizing miR‐26a‐5p‐mediated repression and sequestering the RBP KHSRP, thereby enhancing hippocampal neuronal synaptic plasticity and ...

Breast reconstruction in conserving breast cancer surgery
Breast conserving treatment (BCT) combined with radiotherapy have proved the test of time as a sound oncological operation regarding survival and local recurrence. Successful BCT is a balance between adequate surgery and maintaining the breast9s appearance. Unsatisfactory outcome reaches 20-30% in standard techniques of BCT. Concepts described to widen

Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

The Gαi1/3 protein is a crucial connecting protein closely related to the signal transduction process of bone formation‐related cytokines such as BMP2. Gαi1/3 mediates downstream signaling pathways such as Smads and MAPK by binding to adaptor proteins like Gab1, thereby promoting the osteogenic effect of BMSCs.
