First Description of Discrete Stars Composing the Milk Way in Thomas Watson's Hekatompathia (1582) [PDF]
We note that the first unambiguous description of the Milk Way as being composed of a large number of discrete stars is in Sonnet 31 of Thomas Watson's (d 1592) Hekatompathia (1582), nearly 30 years before Galileo's description. We discuss implications of this early description.

Decoding breast milk oligosaccharides
Oligosaccharides represent a significant fraction of breast milk, reaching up to 20 g/l in early milk. Human milk oligosaccharides comprise close to 200 structures, which are not absorbed by the intestinal tissue and have no nutritional value for the breastfed infant.

These findings elucidate the innovative role of HIC1 as a transcriptional activator in GC, driving the initiation of pyroptosis and enhancing CD8+ T cell infiltration, which has certain novelty and creative significance. Collectively, targeting HIC1 can present an appealing immunotherapeutic strategy to improve outcomes in GC patients.
