A class of generalized homoclinic solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation in 1+1 dimensions is studied. These are homoclinic breathers that are shown to be derivable from the ratio of Riemann theta functions for the genus-2 solutions of ...

Energy thresholds for the existence of breather solutions and travelling waves on lattices [PDF]
We discuss the existence of breathers and of energy thresholds for their formation in DNLS lattices with linear and nonlinear impurities. In the case of linear impurities we present some new results concerning important differences between the attractive and repulsive impurity which is interplaying with a power nonlinearity.

On the breather waves, lump solutions, two-wave solutions of (3+1) dimensional Martínez Alonso–Shabat equation [PDF]
We effectively utilize Hirota’s bilinear method (HBM) in this article to scrutinize the diverse wave profiles to the (3 + 1) dimensional Martínez Alonso–Shabat equation when the test function approaches are taken into consideration.

In this paper, we study the generalized (2 + 1)-dimensional Hietarinta equation which is investigated by utilizing Hirota's bilinear method. Also, the bilinear form is obtained, and the N-soliton solutions are constructed.

Lump, lump-one stripe, multiwave and breather solutions for the Hunter–Saxton equation
The aim of this article was to address the lump, lump-one stripe, multiwave and breather solutions for the Hunter–Saxton equation with the aid of Hirota bilinear technique. This model concerns in a massive nematic liquid crystal director field.

Exact Periodic Wave, Bisoliton, and Various Breather Solutions for the Zakharov Equations [PDF]
The Zakharov equations, which involve the interactions between Langmuir and ion acoustic waves in plasma, are analytically studied. By using the method of Exp-function, the periodic wave, bisoliton, Akhmediev breather, Ma breather, and Peregrine breather of the Zakharov equations are obtained.
