Scalar field breathers on anti-de Sitter background

open access: yes, 2013
We study spatially localized, time-periodic solutions (breathers) of scalar field theories with various self-interacting potentials on Anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetimes in $D$ dimensions.

Effect of the Introduction of Impurities on the Stability Properties of Multibreathers at Low Coupling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
sing a theorem dubbed the {\em Multibreather Stabiliy Theorem} [Physica D 180 (2003) 235-255] we have obtained the stability properties of multibreathers in systems of coupled oscillators with on-site potentials, with an inhomogeneity. Analytical results

Fano Resonances with Discrete Breathers [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2003
A theoretical study of linear wave scattering by time-periodic spatially localized excitations (discrete breathers (DB)) is presented. We obtain that the wave propagation is strongly influenced by a local coupling between an open and closed channels generated by the DB.

Bounded States for Breathers–Soliton and Breathers of Sine–Gordon Equation [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Dynamics, 2021
Abstract The Wronskians solutions to the sine-Gordon (sG) equation that can provide interaction of different kinds of solutions are revisited. A novel expression N-soliton solution with a nonzero background is presented which is used to construct the soliton and breather solutions.

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Numerical modeling of stationary pseudospin waves on a graphene monoatomic films

open access: yesDiscrete and Continuous Models and Applied Computational Science, 2019
For the first time, the theoretical model of the spin-electron structure of a singlelayer graphene film was proposed by Wallace. The literature also describes ferromagnetism generated by none of the three common causes: impurities, defects, boundaries ...

Multiple Soliton Interactions on the Surface of Deep Water

open access: yesFluids, 2020
The paper presents the long-time dynamics with multiple collisions of breathers in the super compact Zakharov equation for unidirectional deep water waves. Solutions in the form of breathers were found numerically by the Petviashvili method. In the terms

Management of breather interactions

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2022
We propose theoretically and confirm experimentally a general approach to manage multiple nonlinear interactions of coherent solitary wave structures on an unstable background–-breathers.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.
