Benefits From Different Modes of Slow and Deep Breathing on Vagal Modulation
Slow and deep breathing (SDB) is a relaxation technique that can increase vagal activity. Respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA) serves as an index of vagal function usually quantified by the high-frequency power of heart rate variability (HRV). However, the

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

Collective excitations in two-dimensional SU(N) Fermi gases with tunable spin
We measure collective excitations of a harmonically trapped two-dimensional (2D) SU(N) Fermi gas of ^{173}Yb confined to a stack of layers formed by a one-dimensional optical lattice.

As‐spun carbon materials produced from Lignosulfonate, gelatin, and alginate, selected for water solubility, and ability to produce templated sustainable carbon nanostructures. Gelatin and alginate are sacrificial during thermal processing, allowing the production of engineered high surface area nanostructures, which are further characterized for ...

Dark Plasmonic Breathing Modes in Silver Nanodisks
We map the complete plasmonic spectrum of silver nanodisks by electron energy loss spectroscopy and show that the mode which couples strongest to the electron beam has radial symmetry with no net dipole moment. Therefore, this mode does not couple to light and has escaped from observation in optical experiments.

A comparative study of four novel sleep apnoea episode prediction systems
The prediction of sleep apnoea and hypopnoea episodes could allow treatment to be applied before the event be-comes detrimental to the patients sleep, and for a more spe-cific form of treatment.

Breathing Mode investigation with 0D models in Hall Thrusters
Hall thrusters are electrical propulsion engines mainly mounted on satellites and spacecraft and achieve thrust by accelerating the ions of which the plasma is composed with an electric field and ejecting them outside the engine.
