Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Influence of mode of breathing on pharyngeal airway space and dento facial parameters in children: a short clinical study

open access: yesBulletin of the National Research Centre, 2022
Background Mouth breathing is considered as a mode of breathing modality that presents as a replacement to normal nasal breathing. This persistent pattern of mouth breathing have considerable influence on the development of dentofacial structures.

van der Waals interaction in nanotube bundles : consequences on vibrational modes

open access: yes, 1999
We have developed a pair-potential approach for the evaluation of van der Waals interaction between carbon nanotubes in bundles. Starting from a continuum model, we show that the intertube modes range from $5 cm^{-1}$ to $60 cm^{-1}$.

Calculation on the nuclear breathing modes [PDF]

open access: yesZeitschrift für Physik A Hadrons and nuclei, 1973
The collective compressional vibrations are described within the hydrodynamical model and the microscopic theory. We present calculations of the excitation energy, width and transition probability of theT=0 andT=1 breathing modes for the spherical nuclei O16, Ca40, Zr90, Sn120 and Pb208.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Association between voice disorder and breathing alteration in children

open access: yesRevista CEFAC
Objective: to analyze the association between voice disorder and aspects related to breathing mode in children, according to sex. Methods: 250 children, aged six to nine years, attending a public school in São Paulo city, were selected.

The nonlinear damping of Bose-Einstein condensate oscillations at ultra-low temperatures

open access: yes, 2002
We analyze the damping of the transverse breathing mode in an elongated trap at ultralow temperatures. The damping occurs due to the parametric resonance entailing the energy transfer to the longitudinal degrees of freedom. It is found that the nonlinear

Selective and Precise Editing of Digital Polymers Through Parallel or Series Toehold‐Mediated Strand Displacement

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A sequence‐encoded supramolecular construct containing two accessible toeholds is developed herein for enabling multiple editing operations. By introducing specific input strands, it is possible to selectively erase or rewrite digital content through parallel or series toehold‐mediated strand displacement (PTMSD or STMSD).

Exact General Solutions to Extraordinary N-body Problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
We solve the N-body problems in which the total potential energy is any function of the mass-weighted root-mean-square radius of the system of N point masses. The fundamental breathing mode of such systems vibrates non-linearly for ever. If the potential
