Abstract In three experiments with large type turkey hens, no statistically significant improvements in reproductive preformance (as measured by production rate, feed per egg, fertility and hatchability) were obtained from increasing protein in the diet from 14 to 16 or 18%, or from added lysine to the 14% protein diet.

Modeling the impacts of grazing management on livestock behavior and performance: A case study in the Peruvian Andes

Our modeling study shows that livestock management strongly influences grazing behavior and animal performance in the Peruvian Andes. Furthermore, adjusting stocking rates and improving animal distribution can enhance forage intake and body condition while increasing forage biomass.
