Nonlinear dynamics of soft boson collective excitations in hot QCD plasma III: bremsstrahlung and energy losses

open access: yes, 2005
Within of the framework of semiclassical approximation a general formalism for deriving an effective current generating bremsstrahlung of arbitrary number of soft gluons (longitudinal or transverse ones) in scattering of higher-energy parton off thermal ...

Observation of the beam-size effect at HERA [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
A precise measurement of the spectrum of the photons from $ep$ bremsstrahlung with the ZEUS luminosity monitor at HERA is reported. The measurement shows a reduced rate compared to the Bethe-Heitler spectrum for photon energies below 5~GeV.

Angular analysis of bremsstrahlung in alpha decay

open access: yes, 2006
A new quantum electrodynamical method of calculations of bremsstrahlung spectra in the $\alpha$-decay of heavy nuclei taking into account the angle between the directions of $\alpha$-particle motion (or its tunneling) and photon emission is presented ...

Electron-Neutrino Bremsstrahlung in Electro-Weak Theory

open access: yes, 2005
The electron-neutrino bremsstrahlung process has been considered in the framework of electro-weak theory. The scattering cross section has been calculated in the center of mass frame and approximated to extreme relativistic as well as non-relativistic ...

Relativistic Non-Thermal Bremsstrahlung Radiation

open access: yes, 2013
By applying a method of virtual quanta we derive formulae for relativistic non-thermal bremsstrahlung radiation from relativistic electrons as well as from protons and heavier particles with power-law momentum distribution $N(p)dp = k p^{-q} dp.$ We show

On Multiphoton Bremsstrahlung [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Kinetic equations for the process of multiphoton bremsstrahlung of electron in a matter have been used to derive the equations for the moments of distributions of electrons over the number of emitted photons and over the energy loss.

Sensitized Triplet Exciton Generation in Nanostructured Polymer Scintillators: Toward Improved γ/Neutron Discrimination

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rapid γ/neutron discrimination through PSD is achieved in liquid droplet containing nanostructured polymeric scintillator where a TTA‐active dye is dissolved. The inclusion of a properly selected and dosed sensitizer metalated porphyrin enhances discrimination sensitivity and speed by doubling the density of annihilating triplets and increasing the ...

Cherenkov-like shock waves associated with surpassing the light velocity barrier [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The effects arising from accelerated and decelerated motion of a point charge inside a medium are studied. The motion is manifestly relativistic and may be produced by a constant uniform electric field.

Photonuclear Population of 229m,gTh in Th‐Doped Crystals Toward Nuclear Clock Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a novel photonuclear approach for producing the nuclear clock isomer 229mTh in thorium‐doped crystals, overcoming current supply limitations. Through cross‐section calculations and Monte Carlo simulations, we identify optimal crystal materials and irradiation conditions, achieving high signal‐to‐noise ratios.

Structural and Compositional Effects on the Scintillation Properties of Fast Emitting Metal‐Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The crystalline structure, the atomic numbers of the constituent elementsand the size of MOF crystals each influence their photoluminescence and scintillation properties in distinct ways. Together, these factors provide valuable guidelines for designing systems with optimized performance and tunable timing characteristics, arising from the synergistic ...
