A non‐destructive, quantitative approach has been developed to explore the nanoscale dynamics of TaOx‐based memristive devices. The utilization of nano‐X‐ray fluorescence analysis enables the direct probing of spatially resolved elemental distributions, including those present in buried layers, that are critical for the resistive switching.

Neutrino signals from electroweak bremsstrahlung in solar WIMP annihilation
Bremsstrahlung of $W$ and $Z$ gauge bosons, or photons, can be an important dark matter annihilation channel. In many popular models in which the annihilation to a pair of light fermions is helicity suppressed, these bremsstrahlung processes can lift the

Char Layer Thickness Evolution During Structural Timber Fire Experiment and Final Density Profile
ABSTRACT This paper evaluates several non‐destructive experimental methods for determining the char layer thickness and its density profile in structural timber samples exposed to standard ISO 834 fire curve experiments. Microwave echo pulse, ultrasonic echo pulse, X‐ray computed tomography, and resistance drilling were evaluated.

Bremsstrahlung of photons emitted during the scattering of $\pi^{+}$-mesons off nuclei is studied for the first time. Role of interactions between $\pi^{+}$-mesons and nuclei in the formation of the bremsstrahlung emission is analyzed in details.

Molecular theranostics: principles, challenges and controversies
Molecular theranostics offers a powerful tool to drive precision medicine in nuclear oncology. While theranostics is not a new principle in nuclear medicine, recent advances in instrumentation and radiopharmacy have driven a reinvigoration and a broader suite of applications.

In Situ Acoustic Monitoring of Focused Femtosecond Pulse Duration in Air
Air‐breakdown acoustics at the laser focus is used to determine femtosecond pulse duration with a simple USB microphone. By chirp‐tuning and compressing 1030 nm pulses from 241 to 50 fs, the acoustic amplitude scales inversely proportional to the square root of the pulse duration, enabling in situ readout over 50 fs–5 ps—crucial for precise pulse ...

Bremsstrahlung from a microscopic model of relativistic heavy ion collisions [PDF]
We compute bremsstrahlung arising from the acceleration of individual charged baryons and mesons during the time evolution of high-energy Au+Au collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider using a microscopic transport model.

Bremsstrahlung Suppression due to the LPM and Dielectric Effects in a Variety of Materials [PDF]
The cross section for bremsstrahlung from highly relativistic particles is suppressed due to interference caused by multiple scattering in dense media, and due to photon interactions with the electrons in all materials.

Auger Parameter Analysis for TiN and AlN Thin Films via Combined In Situ XPS and HAXPES
ABSTRACT Auger parameter analysis provides in‐depth information about electronic and chemical bonding properties of TiN and AlN thin films, which are relevant across a wide range of technologies. Meaningful interpretation and analysis of Auger parameter of these materials have been hindered due to, among other reasons, the absence of reliable ...
