Bresse system with Fourier law on shear force
Our goal in this paper is to investigate the effect of Fourier law on a new coupling for the Bresse system. We give an explicit characterization on the decay rate that can be exponential or polynomial type, depending on the relation between the coefficients of the wave speed propagation.

Qualitative properties of solutions to a nonlinear transmission problem for an elastic Bresse beam
We consider a nonlinear transmission problem for a Bresse beam, which consists of two parts, damped and undamped. The mechanical damping in the damping part is present in the shear angle equation only, and the damped part may be of arbitrary positive ...

Graben width controlling syn-rift sedimentation: the Palaeogene southern Upper Rhine Graben as an example [PDF]
Eocene to Early Oligocene syn-rift deposits of the southern Upper Rhine Graben (URG) accumulated in restricted environments. Sedimentation was controlled by local clastic supply from the graben flanks, as well as by strong intra-basinal variations in ...

Oxidative phosphorylation efficiency, proton conductance and reactive oxygen species production of liver mitochondria correlates with body mass in frogs [PDF]
ody size is a central biological parameter affecting most biological processes (especially energetics) and mitochondria is a key organelle controlling metabolism and is also the cell's main source of chemical energy.

Exploring Thermoelastic Effects in Damped Bresse Systems with Distributed Delay
In this work, we consider the one-dimensional thermoelastic Bresse system by addressing the aspects of nonlinear damping and distributed delay term acting on the first and the second equations.

Plio-Pleistocene transpressional reactivation of Paleozoic and Paleogene structures in the Rhine-Bresse transform zone (northern Switzerland and eastern France) [PDF]
Pliocene to recent uplift and shortening in the southern Rhinegraben is documented by deformation of Pliocene fluvial gravels, deposited on a nearly planar surface, as well as by progressive deflection and capture of rivers. This deformation is suggested

Development of a seismic source model for probabilistic seismic hazard assessment of nuclear power plant sites in Switzerland: the view from PEGASOS Expert Group 4 (EG1d) [PDF]
.: We present a seismogenic source model for site-specific probabilistic seismic hazard assessment at the sites of Swiss nuclear power plants. Our model is one of four developed in the framework of the PEGASOS project; it contains a logic tree with nine ...

This paper studies a one-dimensional thermoelastic Bresse beam model, in which thermal effects governed by the Green–Naghdi theory of heat conduction are coupled specifically with the longitudinal displacement.
