Quality of Life in Iranian Breast Cancer Survivors and Affecting Factors: A Review Article

open access: yesAsian Pacific Journal of Environment and Cancer, 2019
Introduction: The breast cancer is the first common cancer among Iranian women, accounting for 24.4% of all cancers. With the improvement in disease‑free survival with advanced treatment modalities, question of quality of life (QOL) arises.

Janus kinase and calcineurin‐inhibitor combination in anti‐MDA5 dermatomyositis: No significant survival benefit but reassuring safety profile

open access: yesJournal of Internal Medicine, Volume 299, Issue 2, Page 228-240, February 2026.
Abstract Objectives Anti‐MDA5 dermatomyositis (anti‐MDA5 DM) is the most severe subtype of dermatomyositis, due to its pulmonary involvement. Current treatment involves corticosteroids and immunosuppressants, but variability in responses exists. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Janus kinase (JAK)– and calcineurin–inhibitor ...

Natural Products Targeting the EGFR/HER2 Axis in Tumorigenesis: Interpretation of Molecular Mechanisms and Recent Insights Into Synergistic Strategies for Cancer Therapy

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Schematic overview illustrating the anticancer mechanisms of selected natural products (resveratrol, quercetin, berberine) targeting EGFR and HER2 signaling pathways in tumor cells. These compounds inhibit receptor activation and downstream oncogenic cascades, including PI3K/Akt/mTOR, MAPK/ERK, and STAT3 pathways.

A Scoping Review of Noncommunicable Disease Programs Evaluation: Bridging Gaps and Improving Frameworks in Primary Healthcare

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Effective evaluation is critical for improving non‐communicable disease (NCD) programs. This scoping review explores evaluation methods at the primary healthcare (PHC) level, examines the evaluation process, maps key dimensions and indicators, and identifies related challenges.

MLH1 Constitutional Epimutation Screening Requires Highly Sensitive Assays to Identify Lynch Syndrome Patients With Very Low Mosaic Methylation Level

open access: yesHuman Mutation, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Constitutional epimutations of the MLH1 gene are an alternative cause of Lynch syndrome, in which inactivation of an allele of a mismatch repair (MMR) gene results from MLH1 promoter methylation, rather than a pathogenic genetic variant. These epimutations are often mosaic, and methylation levels ranging from ~50% monoallelic methylation to low‐level ...

The Impact of Different Nanoparticle Concentrations Combined with Gamma Rays on Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesمجلة كلية الطب
Background: Cancer is the greatest cause of death worldwide. To treat cancer effectively, radiation must maximize cytotoxicity against tumor cells while limiting injury to healthy cells. Nanotechnology and biomedical technologies can help improve cancer

Resveratrol and CXCR4 Mediated Migration of Brest Cancer Cell Lines

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, 2018
In the United States, breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer among women, being the second cause of cancer‐related deaths. Despite early detection methods and available treatments, breast cancer incidence is increasing worldwide. Some malignant cells have the potential to migrate and invade, metastasizing to distant organs and tissues.

RECTAL AND GASTRIC CANCERS FOLLOWING OPERATIONS FOR HETEROCHRONOUS BILATERAL BREST CANCERS -A CASE OF MULTIPLE CANCER OF FOUR ORGANS-

open access: yesThe journal of the Japanese Practical Surgeon Society, 1996
We experienced a case of multiple cancer in which rectal and gastric cancers developed after operations for heterochronous primary bilateral breast cancers. The case involved a 51-year-old woman. The first cancer was detected in the right breast and a radical mastectomy was performed in March, 1984.
