2006Protoptila bribri, new species Fig. 5 This species is most similar to P. orotina orotina, P. orotina raposa Flint 1974, and P. ixtala. All of these species have a similarly developed phallicata, which is elongate and very angularly bent in the middle. The different species differ most diagnostically in the development of the apex of this structure.
