Development of Antibody Arrays for Monoclonal Antibody Higher Order Structure Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2013
Antibody arrays were developed to probe a monoclonal antibody’s three-dimensional structure (3-D structure). Peptides with overlapping regions were designed to cover the whole mAb light chain and heavy chain respectively and used to generate polyclonal ...

General alpha-Wiener bridges [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
An alpha-Wiener bridge is a one-parameter generalization of the usual Wiener bridge, where the parameter alpha>0 represents a mean reversion force to zero. We generalize the notion of alpha-Wiener bridges to continuous functions $\alpha:[0,T)\to R$.

Adherence to Protocol Recommendations for Children With Wilms Tumour in Two Consecutive Studies in the United Kingdom and Ireland—Does Variation Matter?

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Justification of the development and application of express assessment programs for road bridges when heavy vehicles pass through them

open access: yesStructural Mechanics of Engineering Constructions and Buildings, 2021
The theoretical prerequisites for justifying the development of two rapid assessment programs for road bridges to quickly determine the possibility of passing heavy vehicles on road bridge structures of a split and non-split system, made of wood, metal ...
