A variational framework for single low light image enhancement using bright channel prior
2013 IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing, 2013Low light image enhancement is prerequisite in many fields, such as surveillance systems, road safety and waterway transport. In this paper, a new variational framework using bright channel prior is proposed to address the low light image enhancement problem within a single image.

Single image haze removal using integrated dark and bright channel prior
Modern Physics Letters B, 2018In recent years, the dark channel prior (DCP) has been proven to be an adequate haze removal model. However, its procedure causes annoying halo and gradient reversal artifacts. To remove these issues, numerous filtering techniques have been designed and integrated with DCP.

The image took in the dark light has low contrast, which affects the clarity of details in it. This results in the loss of information and details in poorly illuminated images. Such images are not suitable for computer vision analysis and observations. In many places, images taken in the dark light like CCTV images at night, military, satellite images,

Abstract Remote sensing technology has been widely used for monitoring crop fields and other agricultural applications. However, the clarity of remote sensing images is often affected by clouds and chaotic media in the atmosphere. Image dehazing can be achieved through the dark channel prior method (DCP), but there is always a brightness distortion ...

A Hybrid L2 −LP Variational Model For Single Low-Light Image Enhancement With Bright Channel Prior
2019 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), 2019In this paper, we consider and study the norm variable and propose a hybrid L2−L p variational model with bright channel prior based on Retinex to decompose an observed image into a reflectance layer and an illumination layer. Different from the existing methods, our proposed model can preserve the reflectance layer with more fine details while ...
