Prioritized Real‐Time UAV‐Based Vessel Detection for Efficient Maritime Search
ABSTRACT Real‐time vessel detection in maritime environments is crucial for diverse applications requiring speed and accuracy. Static camera views often introduce blind spots, compromising detection efficiency. This paper proposes a novel, real‐time UAV‐based system that uses a dynamic camera control strategy to address this limitation.

The Central Kinematics and Black Hole Mass of 4C+37.11
We report on integral field unit (IFU) measurements of the host of the radio source 4C+37.11. This massive elliptical contains the only resolved double compact nucleus at parsec-scale separation, likely a bound supermassive black hole binary (SMBHB).

Al‐Khadhaf: The first camera‐observed (H5–6) meteorite fall from Oman
Abstract A fireball camera system installed in 2022 by the Oman Meteorite Monitoring Project (OMMP) as part of the Global Fireball Observatory (GFO) recorded a 3.2 s fireball on March 8, 2022 at 8:15 p.m. UTC. A meteoroid of 4 ± 2 kg entered the atmosphere at 14.0 km/s.

The Shape of the Chameleon Fifth-Force on the Mass Components of Galaxy Clusters
In the context of chameleon gravity, we present a semi-analytical solution of the chameleon field profile in an accurately modelled galaxy cluster’s mass components, namely the stellar mass of the Brightest Cluster Galaxy (BCG), the baryonic mass in ...

We present an algorithm designed to identify galaxy (proto)clusters in wide-area photometric surveys by first selecting their dominant galaxy—i.e., the brightest cluster galaxy (BCG) or protoBCG—through the local stellar mass density traced by massive ...

Agn In Brightest Cluster Galaxies
We present a systematic investigation of the nuclear activity in Brighest Cluster Galaxies through cosmic epochs. By combining X-ray, Radio, optical and IR data, we constrain the origin of the feeding gas and the accretion regime, as well as the feedback processes affecting the surrounding Intra Cluster Medium and star formation events in the BCGs ...

Deep MOS Spectroscopy of NGC 1316 Globular Clusters
The giant elliptical galaxy NGC 1316 is the brightest galaxy in the Fornax cluster, and displays a number of morphological features that might be interpreted as an intermediate age merger remanent (∼3 Gyr).

The Intracluster Light of Abell 3667: Unveiling an Optical Bridge in LSST Precursor Data
Intracluster light (ICL), the diffuse glow of stars stripped from galaxies during a cluster’s formation, is an established tracer of a cluster’s dynamical history. The upcoming Vera C.
