The Temperature and Opacity of Atomic Hydrogen in Spiral Galaxies [PDF]
We analyze the resolved neutral hydrogen emission properties of a sample of eleven of the nearest spiral galaxies. Between 60 and 90% of the total HI line flux within the optical disk is due to a high brightness network (HBN) of emission features which ...

A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Influence of meter-scale wind-formed features on the variability of the microwave brightness temperature around Dome C in Antarctica [PDF]
Space-borne passive microwave radiometers are widely used to retrieve information in snowy regions by exploiting the high sensitivity of microwave emission to snow properties.

The bispectrum of redshifted 21-cm fluctuations from the dark ages [PDF]
Brightness-temperature fluctuations in the redshifted 21-cm background from the cosmic dark ages are generated by irregularities in the gas-density distribution and can then be used to determine the statistical properties of density fluctuations in the ...

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

The Effects of Low Temperature Cooking on the Deinking of Groundwood [PDF]
An experiment was designed to lower the temperature of the cooking stage in the deinking of groundwood. The cook chemicals consisted of sodium meta-silicate, sodium carbonate, hydrogen peroxide and surfactants.

Long-term observations of Uranus and Neptune at 90 GHz with the IRAM 30m telescope - (1985 -- 2005) [PDF]
The planets Uranus and Neptune with small apparent diameters are primary calibration standards. We investigate their variability at ~90 GHz using archived data taken at the IRAM 30m telescope during the 20 years period 1985 to 2005.

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Doppler Boosting, Superluminal Motion, and the Kinematics of AGN Jets [PDF]
We discuss results from a decade long program to study the fine-scale structure and the kinematics of relativistic AGN jets with the aim of better understanding the acceleration and collimation of the relativistic plasma forming AGN jets.
