Ultrafast Transitions in X‐Ray Irradiated Solids

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this review, we present current developments on modeling ultrafast transitions in solids triggered by intense, atto‐ to femtosecond pulses from X‐ray free electron lasers. This specific irradiation regime requires dedicated simulation tools based on theoretical and computational methods, involving the elements of classical and quantum ...

Selective Optical Properties of Cement for Enhanced Radiative Cooling and Energy‐Efficient Construction Materials

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Cement phases are good materials for radiative cooling thanks to the selective emissivity in IR ATW. Cement powders have high reflectance of solar radiation which reduces the thermal losses. The onset of the absorption curves is defined by bound excitons. Sulfates have higher radiated powers and reflectance than calcium silicates.

Construction of Sheet‐on‐Hollow Cube Cu2‐xS/ZnIn2S4 p‐n Heterojunction for Enhanced Visible‐Light‐Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The Cu2–xS/ZnIn2S4 composite photocatalyst is an ultrathin ZnIn2S4 nanosheet in situ grown on the surface of the Cu2–xS hollow cube, forming a unique p‐n junction structure, which exhibits excellent photocatalytic hydrogen production performance under visible light.

Birefringence-induced phase delay enables Brillouin mechanical imaging in turbid media

open access: yesNature Communications
Acoustic vibrations of matter convey fundamental viscoelastic information that can be optically retrieved by hyperfine spectral analysis of the inelastic Brillouin scattered light. Increasing evidence of the central role of the viscoelastic properties in

Ultrasmall Au10–12 Nanoclusters: A Novel Platform for 223Ra‐Targeted Tumor α‐Therapy

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Encapsulating 223Ra in Au10‐12 nanoclusters and functionalizing them with RGD peptides enables targeted α‐therapy and immune microenvironment remodeling in non‐osseous tumors like triple‐negative breast cancer. This study establishes a foundational framework for novel 223Ra‐labeled α‐radiopharmaceuticals and shows strong potential for clinical ...

Bipolar photovoltaic effect in InSe/MoO3 van der Waals heterostructure for spontaneous light polarization detection

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Bidirectional photo response in a two‐dimensional heterojunction photodetector controlled by light wavelength and polarization. Abstract Polarization is one of the most fundamental properties of light. Traditional polarization‐sensitive photodetectors, however, are limited in their ability to fully extract this information, as they translate the two ...
