Antenna arrays focused by broadband signals

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы, 2015
Broadband and ultra-wideband signals are increasingly used in modern antenna technology, and various radio systems. Traditional performance evaluation antennas operating with narrow band signals are not always adequately reflect the characteristics of ...

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

High‐gain omnidirectional patch antenna for conformal application based on near‐zero‐index metamaterials

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2021
Achieving a high‐gain omnidirectional patch antenna with low profile is a challenging task. On the basis of improving antennas by metamaterials, a broadband near‐zero‐index metamaterial (NZIM) is designed to enhance the horizontal gain of the ...

3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Experimental verification of broadband antennas loaded with metamaterials

open access: yes, 2015
The intrinsic frequency dispersion has been usually considered as a relevant drawback of metamaterials, limiting their application to narrowband microwave components.

CP metasurfaced antennas excited by LP sources [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A metasurface which is considered as a polarizer for microwave antennas is proposed in this paper. Preliminary results have shown that circularly polarized (CP) radiation can be obtained from linearly polarized (LP) source antennas with the use of ...
