Broadband dual-plate monopole antennas
In this paper, dual-plate monopole antennas without and with a shorting pin and/or edge trimming have been studied. The experimental results of return loss have been presented, and compared with single plate monopole antennas. It has been shown that the lower end matching frequency can be lowered by 17% by using dual plates.

A low‐profile planar end‐fire broadband antenna with wide beamwidth
A low‐profile planar end‐fire broadband antenna with wide beamwidth is presented. The proposed antenna consists of a grounded coplanar waveguide (GCPW), an antipodal dipole, and a pair of directors.

Development Toward a Ground-Based Interferometric Phased Array for Radio Detection of High Energy Neutrinos [PDF]
The in-ice radio interferometric phased array technique for detection of high energy neutrinos looks for Askaryan emission from neutrinos interacting in large volumes of glacial ice, and is being developed as a way to achieve a low energy threshold and a

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

Broadband THz Corrugated Bull’s Eye Antennas
A 3-dB gain and input impedance bandwidth enhancement technique for THz periodically corrugated metallic antennas, also known as Bull’s Eye antennas, is presented. A novel design that exploits the depth qualities of the corrugations is introduced,

Assessment of radio frequency exposures in schools, homes, and public places in Belgium [PDF]
Characterization of exposure from emerging radio frequency (RF) technologies in areas where children are present is important. Exposure to RF electromagnetic fields (EMF) was assessed in three "sensitive" microenvironments; namely, schools, homes, and ...

Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.
