Optimization of photomixers and antennas for continuous-wave terahertz emission [PDF]
We have studied terahertz emission from interdigitated finger photomixers coupled to planar antenna structures. Using both pulsed and continuous-wave excitation, polarization measurements reveal that the antenna design dominates the properties of the

This study presents the BioCLEAR system, a highly transparent and conductive neural electrode array composed of silver nanowires (AgNWs) and doped PEDOT:PSS, enabling neural recordings with minimal optical artifacts. When integrated with a GRIN lens, this cost‐effective neural implant allows simultaneous electrophysiological recording and GCaMP6‐based ...

Compact and Broadband Microstrip-Line-Fed Modified Rhombus Slot Antenna [PDF]
The printed microstrip-line-fed broadband rhombus slot antenna is investigated in this paper. With the use of the offset microstrip feed line and the corner-truncated protruded ground plane, the bandwidth enhancement and the slot size reduction for the ...

Effect of pedestrian movement on MIMO-OFDM channel capacity in an indoor environment [PDF]
Effects of pedestrian movement on multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) channel capacity have been investigated using experiment and simulation. The experiment was conducted at 5.2 GHz by a MIMO-OFDM packet

Broadband conical microstrip antenna
Conical patch antennas, excited on TE11-mode are studied and their resonance frequencies are computed. These antennas present a broader bandwidth compared to classical microstrip antennas and, furthermore, good impedance matching can be easily obtained.

Biomimetic Iridescent Skin: Robust Prototissues Spontaneously Assembled from Photonic Protocells
Uniform nanoparticles are induced to form arrays (photonic crystals) in the cores of biopolymer capsules, endowing these ‘protocells’ with structural color. These protocells are then assembled into large self‐standing objects, i.e., prototissues, with robust mechanical properties as well as iridescent optical properties.

A miniaturized mechano‐acoustic sensor is developed using an electrospun PVDF nanomesh as the diaphragm in a capacitive sensor structure. Unlike conventional nanomesh‐based sensors, it achieves high linear sensitivity, a broad and flat frequency response, and a compact form factor.

Antenna arrays focused by broadband signals
Broadband and ultra-wideband signals are increasingly used in modern antenna technology, and various radio systems. Traditional performance evaluation antennas operating with narrow band signals are not always adequately reflect the characteristics of ...
