A 130 to 160 GHz broadband power amplifier with binary power splitting topology
S.442-444The range of radar and communication systems working in the atmospheric window around 140 GHz strongly is limited by the output power of the transmit amplifier. To allow for long range application, a broadband power amplifier with 145 GHz center

A wideband cryogenic microwave low-noise amplifier
A broadband low-noise four-stage high-electron-mobility transistor amplifier was designed and characterized in a cryogen-free dilution refrigerator at the 3.8 K temperature stage. The obtained power dissipation of the amplifier is below 20 mW.

A Broadband Doherty Power Amplifier With Hybrid Class-EFJ Mode [PDF]
This paper proposes a method that employs novel hybrid continuous class-EFJ power amplifiers (PAs) as carrier PA to design a broadband high-efficiency Doherty power amplifier (DPA). Bandwidth characteristic of the proposed DPA is analyzed in detail.

Power combination of broadband TRAPATT amplifiers
The power from two closely matched trapatt amplifiers was combined by means of two 3dB interdigitated hybrid couplers. An output power of 115 W with 350 MHz bandwidth was obtained from the combined circuit. This combination technique, the effectiveness of which was thought to be questionable for trapatt amplifiers, doubles their output power without ...
