Cooperative Transmission with Broadcasting and Communication

In this paper, we propose a novel cooperative transmission strategy with broadcasting and cellular communication in a hybrid network system. With the help of cellular base station (CBS), two cooperative schemes are analyzed to improve broadcast performance. We define two thresholds in this paper.

Secure communication in IPTV broadcasting

In internet protocol television (IPTV) broadcasting, service providers charge subscribing fee by scrambling the program with conditional access system (CAS) using control words (CWs). A smart card is used to decrypt the CWs and transfer them back to set-top box (STB) to descramble the scrambled program.

A language is suggested for representing broadcasting buffering communicating (BBC) systems. In contrast to hand shaking communication following the rendezvous-concept the language describes loosely coupled communicating systems. Both mathematical and operational semantics are defined and several issues of the language are discussed.
