Journal of Community Hospital Internal Medicine Perspectives, 2023 Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy (TCM) is known as stress induced cardiomyopathy which may be triggered by emotional or physical stress. It contributes approximately 0.02% of all the hospitalizations in the US. It is acute and reversible cardiomyopathy with transient decrease in ventricular function and unremarkable angiogram.
