All order alpha'-expansion of superstring trees from the Drinfeld associator

open access: yes, 2014
We derive a recursive formula for the alpha'-expansion of superstring tree amplitudes involving any number N of massless open string states. String corrections to Yang-Mills field theory are shown to enter through the Drinfeld associator, a generating ...

Chinese Patent Medicine Ameliorate Ulcerative Colitis in Mice by Restoring the Th17/Treg Balance

open access: yesGut Medicine, Volume 1, Issue 1, Page 30-44, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background and Objective In China, Weichang'an Pill (WCAP) is a drug marketed for mild and moderate active ulcerative colitis (UC) but its mechanism is unknown. In the present study, the anti‐inflammatory mechanism of WCAP was investigated. Methods Dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) was used to induce UC in mice, which were divided into 4 groups (n =

Genetic structuring and within‐flock relatedness of eastern wild turkeys

open access: yesWildlife Society Bulletin, Volume 49, Issue S1, December 2025.
We investigated the genetic structure and within‐flock relatedness of wild turkeys across sites in the southeastern United States. We found that the probability of within‐flock relatedness was lowest at a study site where spring harvest of males did not occur, and relatedness varied by sex and age relationships across study sites.

Exploration of the natural dye alizarin for supercritical carbon dioxide dyeing of polyester, polyamide and cellulose acetate fibres

open access: yesColoration Technology, Volume 141, Issue 6, Page 889-908, December 2025.
Abstract Conventional textile dyeing utilises large amounts of water and generates significant amounts of wastewater, highlighting the need to utilise more sustainable dyeing methods. Supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) dyeing offers a zero‐water, zero‐wastewater alternative with reduced energy requirements and carbon dioxide recyclability. While both

Dynamics of Miscanthus spp. Overwinter Leaf Litter Drop and Decomposition

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, Volume 17, Issue 12, December 2025.
Understanding leaf litter cycling and decomposition is key to modelling the carbon balance of and sustainability of biomass crops such as the giant perennial grass, Miscanthus. Our paper monitored overwinter leaf shedding from six Miscanthus genotypes planted in a replicated field trial, including the current commercial clone M.

Confidence sets for nonparametric wavelet regression

open access: yes, 2005
We construct nonparametric confidence sets for regression functions using wavelets that are uniform over Besov balls. We consider both thresholding and modulation estimators for the wavelet coefficients.

Modelling of the Systemic Inflammatory Host Response in Relation to the Microbiome of the Endodontic Infection

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, Volume 58, Issue 12, Page 1926-1939, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim This study aimed to investigate systemic inflammatory responses in individuals with apical periodontitis (AP) compared to age‐matched healthy controls, using advanced multiway modelling techniques. We examined associations between inflammatory mediators, age, gender, symptomatic status, and the microbial composition and function to better ...

Preserving newspapers: National and international cooperative efforts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Historians have always turned to newspapers to see how events were interpreted at the time that they occurred. Now, more than ever, with an increased interest in social history and in the daily life of the common person, historians have come to ...

Proteomic mechanisms underlying soybean meal‐induced enteritis resistance in selected rainbow trout

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society, Volume 56, Issue 6, December 2025.
Abstract Soybean meal‐induced enteritis (SBMIE) remains a major barrier to reducing fishmeal use in salmonid aquaculture. This study evaluated physiological and molecular responses associated with SBMIE resistance in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) by comparing a commercial strain (Com) and a selectively bred strain (Sel) with over two decades of ...

Mortality Trends in Atrial Fibrillation With Cardiomyopathy Among Patients Aged 25 and Older in the United States

open access: yesPacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Volume 48, Issue 12, Page 1434-1443, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a prevalent arrhythmia that frequently coexists with cardiomyopathy, leading to deteriorated cardiovascular outcomes. Analyzing the trends associated with these conditions is essential for improving prevention strategies and management practices. Methods CDC WONDER (1999–2023) data were analyzed to assess
