Background Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus (BRSV) is a cause of Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD). DNA-based biomarkers contributing to BRD resistance are potentially present in non-protein-coding regulatory regions of the genome, which can be ...

Background We aimed to establish the prevalence of adverse reactions associated with the use of deoxycholate and/or liposomal amphotericin B and to determine adherence to World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations to minimize the risk of toxicity. Methods Clinical data were collected from records of 143 patients over 18 years of age who were under

Development of a nanoparticle-assisted PCR assay for detection of bovine respiratory syncytial virus
Background Bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) is a common pathogen causing respiratory disease in cattle and a significant contributor to the bovine respiratory disease (BRD) complex.

SEROPREVALENCE OF BOVINE RESPIRATORY SYNCYTIAL VIRUS (BRSV) IN VOJVODINA
This paper presents the results of serological examination of respiratory infection with bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) on dairy farms and cattle feedlots in Vojvodina. Seropositive animals were detected on all examined farms. The seroprevalence differed depending on the age of examined animals, i.e. of animal production group.

Cytokine and Acute Phase Response in Calves Following Experimental Infection with BRSV [PDF]
Bovine respiratory syncytial virus has been identified as an important pathogen associated with acute respiratory disease in calves. An infection model has been developed reflecting the clinical course and the development of pathological signs during a natural BRSV-infection.

Background Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) and infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus (IBRV) are key components of the bovine respiratory disease complex (BRDC) in China’s cross‐regional feeder system. We quantified antibody and antigen positivity and identified epidemiological determinants across provinces, seasons, years, and clinical status ...

Abstract Dynamics of infectious disease in natural populations result from processes across scales, from host characteristics shaping exposure risk and susceptibility, to local environmental conditions driving vector populations, to the structure of metapopulation networks shaping transmission of pathogens across the landscape.

Immunological response of locally prepared oil adjuvanted pneumo-5 vaccine in calves [PDF]
The present study aimed to prepare a combined inactivated vaccine containingbovine viral diarrhea genotype-1(BVD-1),bovine viral diarrhea genotype-2 (BVD-2),infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR),parainfluenza-3 (PI-3) and bovinerespiratory syncytial ...
