MALDI HiPLEX-IHC: multiomic and multimodal imaging of targeted intact proteins in tissues

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2023
Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry imaging (MALDI-MSI) is one of the most widely used methods for imaging the spatial distribution of unlabeled small molecules such as metabolites, lipids and drugs in tissues.

Incorporation of Selenium into Sol–Gel‐Derived Bioactive Glass: Influence on Glass Structure, Bioactivity, and its Selective Cytotoxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Selenium was incorporated into a sol–gel‐derived bioactive glass to enable sustained therapeutic ion release. The selenium‐containing glass preserved bioactivity while selectively inducing cytotoxicity in osteosarcoma cells and maintaining osteoblastic viability.

Hvem bruker natur- og friluftsbarnehager?

open access: yesBarn, 2008
I de senere årene har antall natur- og friluftsbarnehager i Norge økt kraftig. Målet med denne studien har vært å få økt kunnskap om hvem som bruker slike barnehager sammenliknet med en gruppe andre barnehager.

Bruker2nifti: Magnetic Resonance Images converter from Bruker [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In clinical and pre-clinical research involving medical images, the first step following a Magnetic Resonance Imaging dataset acquisition, usually entails the conversion of image data from the native scanner format to a format suitable for the intended ...

Time‐Dependent Oxidation and Scale Evolution of a Wrought Co/Ni‐Based Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows how a new wrought Co/Ni‐based superalloy resists oxidation at 800 ∘$^\circ$C. The oxide scale changes from rough, fast‐growing spinel to a dense, protective chromia–alumina layer. Atom probe analysis reveals tiny refractory‐rich bubbles at the interface that mark the transition to long‐term, diffusion‐controlled protection ...

InSituCor: exploring spatially correlated genes conditional on the cell type landscape

open access: yesGenome Biology
In spatial transcriptomics data, spatially correlated genes promise to reveal high-interest phenomena like cell–cell interactions and latent variables. But in practice, most spatial correlations arise from the spatial arrangement of cell types, obscuring

Microstructure‐Controlled Crack Propagation and Fracture Resistance in MoSiBTiC Alloy Revealed by Multiscale Extended Finite Element Method Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Nonlinear pattern formation in bone growth and architecture

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2015
The 3D morphology of bone arises through adaptation to its required engineering performance. Genetically and adaptively bone travels along a complex spatio-temporal trajectory to acquire optimal architecture.

Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...
