This review systematically examines the nanomechanical mechanisms of mussel‐inspired molecular interactions, primarily investigated by direct force measurement techniques such as surface forces apparatus and atomic force microscopy. The macroscopic adhesive and self‐healing performances of mussel‐inspired functional materials, including coacervates ...

Solid‐state batteries promise high energy density and safety for electric vehicles. This study examines the densification of slurry‐casted Li₆PS₅Cl separator tapes, highlighting the role of particle size distribution and uni‐axial pressure. Wet milling refines particles while preserving conductivity, and a critical compaction threshold leads to ...

Surprisingly, a cell can bind to itself to make a self‐adhesion, which engineered here to improve how cells attach to biomaterials. Nanoprinting are used to make 3D structures smaller than cells–called Self‐Adhesion‐Tunnels (SATs)–around which cells can wrap and bind to themselves.

Fluoroether Design Enables High‐Voltage All‐Solid‐State Lithium Metal Batteries
A durable high‐voltage all‐solid‐state electrolyte is developed by incorporating a novel organic/inorganic hybrid porous component with a fluoroether design. Due to the weakened Li+ coordination structure, the proposed high‐voltage SSE exhibits durable antioxidation.

Memory Effects of Diblock Copolymer Brushes and Mixed Brushes
Memory effects of microphase segregation in diblock copolymer brushes and binary mixed homopolymer brushes exposed to solvents of different quality and selectivity are studied using Single-Chain-in-Mean-Field (SCMF) simulations. We gauge these memory effects by a fluctuation memory measure, reflecting the correlation between the quenched fluctuations ...

Compression of finite size polymer brushes
We consider edge effects in grafted polymer layers under compression. For a semi-infinite brush, the penetration depth of edge effects $\xi\propto h_0(h_0/h)^{1/2}$ is larger than the natural height $h_0$ and the actual height $h$.

This perspective explores the diverse applications of MXene fibers, including those often overlooked in fiber‐focused studies. It emphasizes the critical need to address challenges in synthesis, scalability, and long‐term stability to unlock their full potential in real‐world applications. Abstract Since the first report on MXene‐coated fibers in 2017,
