Reproducción inducida de la sabaleta Brycon henni: revisión bibliográfica

open access: yesRevista Lasallista De Investigacion, 2015
"Sabaleta" fish, Brycon henni, is an endemic species from the mountain zones of Colombia, which adapts itself well to temperate and warm waters. Given its cultural importance in the life zones associated to its presence, several aspects of its biology, its ecology and confined reproduction have been being developed.

Maduración in vitro de ovas de Brycon henni (Pisces: Characidae) con dos preparaciones hormonales

open access: yesRevista De Investigaciones Veterinarias Del Peru, 2018

Complete mitogenome of the Neotropical fish Brycon henni , Eigenmann 1913 (Characiformes, Bryconidae)

Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014
Brycon henni (Characiformes, Bryconidae) is a trans-Andean omnivorous fish considered as promising species in aquaculture of temperate zones. In this work we report for first time the complete mitochondrial genome of B. henni. This mitogenome spans 16,885 bp and encodes 13 proteins, 22 tRNAs and 2 ribosomal RNAs.

Evaluación genotóxica del agua del Río Grande (Antioquia, Colombia) mediante frecuencia de eritrocitos micronucleados de Brycon henni (Characiformes: Characidae)

2017
Abstract:The permanent monoculture of bananas and plantains farming in the middle of Río Grande (Turbo - Antioquia) requires the application of a variety of pesticides. Inappropriate banana production practices in this region, have often led to waterbody pollution by agrochemicals from leachate and runoff processes.

Variations of body geometry in Brycon henni (Teleostei: Characiformes, Bryconidae) in different rivers and streams

Journal of Fish Biology, 2016
Landmark‐based geometric morphometrics were used to evaluate the effect of flow and depth in the water column on the body size and shape of Brycon henni from river and stream populations. The dendrogram showed that stream populations clustered apart and showed significantly smaller centroid size and narrower bodies than river populations, indicating a ...
