This paper presents a framework for improving performance of the popular MUSIC algorithm using blind source separation. Whether it is used for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation or for spectral estimation, the performance of the MUSIC algorithm can be improved via BSS.

Brownian semi-stationary processes have been proposed as a class of stochastic models for time series of the turbulent velocity field. We show, by detailed comparison, that these processes are able to reproduce the main characteristics of turbulent data.

Maximum Entropy Guide for BSS

This paper proposes a novel method for Blindly Separating unobservable independent component (IC) Signals (BSS) based on the use of a maximum entropy guide (MEG). The paper also includes a formal proof on the convergence of the proposed algorithm using the guiding operator, a new concept in the genetic algorithm (GA) scenario.

In this paper we shortly review what has been suggested so far for robustifying ICA and second order blind source separation. Furthermore do we suggest a new algorithm, eSAM-SOBI, which is an affine equivariant improvement of already robust SAM-SOBI.
