Wetting of soap bubbles on hydrophilic, hydrophobic and superhydrophobic surfaces [PDF]
Wetting of sessile bubbles on solid and liquid surfaces has been studied. A model is presented for the contact angle of a sessile bubble based on a modified Young equation - the experimental results agree with the model. A hydrophilic surface results in a bubble contact angle of 90 deg whereas on a superhydrophobic surface one observes 134 deg.

Risk analysis of the Unity 1.5T MR‐Linac adapt‐to‐shape workflow
Abstract Background and Purpose The adapt‐to‐shape (ATS) workflow on the Unity MR‐Linac (Elekta AB, Stockholm, Sweden) allows for full replanning including recontouring and reoptimization5. Additional complexity to this workflow is added when the adaptation involves the use of MIM Maestro (MIM Software, Cleveland, OH) software in conjunction with ...

Turbulent Bubbly Channel Flow: Role of Bubble Deformability [PDF]
This article describes the fluid dynamics video: "Turbulent Bubbly Channel Flow: Role of Bubble Deformability." The effect of bubble deformability on the flow rate of bubbly upflow in a turbulent vertical channel is examined using direct numerical simulations. A series of simulations with bubbles of decreasing deformability shows a transition from flow

Walks of bubbles on a hot wire in a liquid bath [PDF]
When a horizontal resistive wire is heated up to the boiling point in a subcooled liquid bath, some vapor bubbles nucleate on its surface. Traditional nucleate boiling theory predicts that bubbles generated from active nucleate sites, grow up and depart from the heating surface due to buoyancy and inertia. However, we observed here a different behavior:

The double and triple bubble problem for stationary varifolds: the convex case [PDF]
We characterize the critical points of the double bubble problem in $\mathbb{R}^n$ and the triple bubble problem in $\mathbb{R}^3$, in the case the bubbles are convex.

ABSTRACTCavin‐4 was identified as a potential autoantigen for immune‐mediated rippling muscle disease (iRMD). To validate this, we developed and tested various immunoassays, including a cell‐based assay (CBA), cavin‐4 recombinant protein ELISA, and multi‐peptide ELISA. Among 19 iRMD patients, all exhibited muscle rippling, and 13 had percussion‐induced

Stable bubble formations in a Hele-Shaw channel [PDF]
Deformable bubbles propagated by the flow of a viscous liquid in a planar Hele-Shaw channel of uniform depth tend to travel steadily along the channel's streamwise axis and pairs of neighbouring bubbles will either separate or coalesce because an individual bubble's propagation speed increases monotonically with its size.

Abnormal Synchronization Between Cortical Delta Power and Ripples in Hippocampal Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Objective Discriminating between epileptogenic and physiological ripples in the hippocampus is important for identifying epileptogenic (EP) zones; however, distinguishing these ripples on the basis of their waveforms is difficult. We hypothesized that the nocturnal synchronization of hippocampal ripples and cortical delta power could be used ...

Bubble-Bubble Interaction in the Quark-Gluon Plasma [PDF]
We calculate the two-body interaction of spherical hadronic bubbles immersed in a gluon plasma at temperatures above the phase transition. Modeling the bubbles with the MIT bag we find that the two body potential is repulsive for all bubble-bubble distances considered.
