Bubble size distribution in a bubble column applied to aquaculture systems
Aquacultural Engineering, 1992Abstract Bubble size distribution affects the gas-liquid mass transfer rates during aeration and foam fractionation processes employed in recirculating aquacultural systems. The effects of air flow rate, protein concentration and air stone pore size on bubble characterization were investigated. Bubble size was measured photographically in conjunction

Bubble Size Distribution and Rise Velocity in a Jet Bubbling Reactor
Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2019At low liquid jet velocity (uj), bubble vortices do not appear and the bubble size distribution (BSD) shows a bimodal distribution.

Size Distribution of Cavitation Bubbles
2015Acoustic cavitation is defined as the formation of a vapor cavity and bubbles in response to an acoustic field. One can generalize this definition to encompass any observable activity involving a bubble or a population of bubbles stimulated into motion by an acoustic field (Apfel in Methods in Experimental Physics 19:355–411, 1984). There are two basic

Lognormal bubble size distributions
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2017In the study of oceanic bubbles based on empirical acoustics, the distributions among the sizes are typically represented by power laws with negative slopes as convenient descriptors of data in log/log format. However, power laws do not address the fact that as bubble sizes approach zero their numbers must approach zero.

Gas Bubbles In Distribution Transformers
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1977Gas bubbles are known to have a deleterious effect on the dielectric strength of transformer oil. The possibility that such bubbles may develop in oil-filled distribution transformers and may cause excessive failure rates is thus of concern to both manufacturer and user. The paper presents new information relative to failure mechanisms in transformers.

On the spatial distribution of ocean bubbles
Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, 1987Clouds of bubbles generated by breaking waves were detected with a vertically directed high‐frequency echo sounder mounted on a submarine. Bubble concentration was inferred from a simple model of the bubble size distribution. The vertical and horizontal distribution of clouds is discussed in terms of wave‐breaking processes, air‐sea temperature ...
