Bubble lift-off size in forced convection subcooled boiling
Forced convection subcooled boiling experiments were conducted in a BWR-scaled vertical upward annular channel. Water was used as the testing fluid, and the tests were performed at atmospheric pressure.

Monocrystalline silicon ingots are grown in a Czochralski (Cz) furnace by melting high purity silicon feedstock in a fused quartz crucible. As the standard solar cell size is getting larger, silicon ingots manufacturers have increased their demands on ...

We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...

Single‐chain nanoparticles have been proposed as drug delivery carriers, but adding a tail can significantly enhance their performance. This was demonstrated using a tadpole‐like structure comprising a head prepared from a UV‐crosslinked fructose‐based glycopolymer capable of targeting GLUT receptors, combined with a PEG‐based tail. Compared with other

Simulation of coalescence, break up and mass transfer in bubble columns by using the Conditional Quadrature Method of Moments in OpenFOAM [PDF]
The evaluation of the mass transfer rates and the fluid-dynamics aspects of bubble columns are strongly affected by the intrinsic poly-dispersity of the gas phase, namely the different dispersed bubbles are usually distributed over a certain range of ...
