Fructose‐Based Single‐Chain Polymer Nanoparticles for GLUT1–Mediated Delivery: Impact of Polymer Design on Uptake and In Vivo Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐chain nanoparticles have been proposed as drug delivery carriers, but adding a tail can significantly enhance their performance. This was demonstrated using a tadpole‐like structure comprising a head prepared from a UV‐crosslinked fructose‐based glycopolymer capable of targeting GLUT receptors, combined with a PEG‐based tail. Compared with other

Asset Bubbles and Endogenous Growth [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the interaction between productive and nonproductive savings in an economy that grows in the long run due to endogenous improvements in labor productivity.

Microsphere‐Templated Conductive Syntactic Foams for Recyclable and Additively Manufactured Soft Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a microsphere‐templated strategy to fabricate reprocessable PEDOT:PSS syntactic foams with tunable porosity, stable conductivity, and 3D printability. In situ PEDOT:PSS coatings create a conductive network that maintains electrical performance at high void fractions.

Stock overreaction and financial bubbles: Evidence from Malaysia

open access: yes, 2009
This paper attempts to seek linkage between stock overreaction behaviour and financial bubbles in the Malaysian stock market. Monthly data over a period between January 1987 and December 2006 shows no clear evidence of stock overreaction behavior in the ...

Engineered AuNPs/fMWCNT Nanocomposite Electrodes for High‐Sensitivity Methylglyoxal Sensing in Saliva and Sweat for Non‐Invasive Diabetes Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An AuNPs/fMWCNT nanocomposite‐modified screen‐printed carbon electrode was engineered via sequential electrodeposition and integrated into a 3D‐printed microfluidic platform for ultrasensitive methylglyoxal detection. The non‐invasive sensing platform enables rapid analysis in saliva and sweat, highlighting strong potential for wearable point‐of‐care ...

Steady-state distributions for models of bubbles: their existence and econometric implications

open access: yes, 2012
The purpose of this paper is to examine the properties of bubbles in the light of steady state results for threshold auto-regressive (TAR) models recently derived by Knight and Satchell (2011).

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...

Learning about Risk and Return: A Simple Model of Bubbles and Crashes [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper demonstrates that an asset pricing model with least-squares learning can lead to bubbles and crashes as endogenous responses to the fundamentals driving asset prices.

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Rolling ADF Tests: Detecting Rational Bubbles in Greater China Stock Markets

open access: yes, 2008
Following Phillips, Wu and Yu (2007), this paper extends their bubble detecting work to several Greater China stock markets. Two alternative bubble detecting methods, the forward recursive ADF tests raised by Phillips et al.
