Experiments on standing bubbles in a vertical pipe

open access: yes
We present a series of laboratory experiments in which a steady stream of air is supplied through a small hole in the wall of a vertical pipe of rectangular cross-section down which there is a steady flux of water.

Bubble Formation Control: Fabrication of Centimeter‐Sized Tissue‐Like Constructs by Catalase‐Coated Oxygen‐Releasing Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐releasing hydrogels are widely used to support cell survival in 3D cultures and to promote wound healing. However, incorporating catalase to convert H2O2 into O2 often generates additional oxygen bubbles, leading to material instability which rarely addressed.

On Fragility of Bubbles in Equilibrium Asset Pricing Models of Lucas-Type. [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we study the existence of bubbles for pricing equilibria in a pure exchange economy à la Lucas, with infinitely lived homogeneous agents.

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

On the Inception of Rational Bubbles in Stock Prices [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper analyzes the theoretical possibility of rational bubbles in stock prices in a model in which stockholders have infinite planning horizons and in which free disposal of equity rules out the existence of negative rational bubbles.

Pulsed Laser‐Assisted Phase Engineering of Multimetallic Colloidal Nanocrystals With Complex Compositions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The engineering of colloidal nanocrystals with complex compositions has emerged as a highly active area of research within nanomaterials science. This review covers key aspects of colloidal solid‐solution nanocrystal formation using pulsed laser irradiation.

Double Bubbles in Assets Markets with Multiple Generations [PDF]

open access: yes
We construct an asset market in a finite horizon overlapping-generations environment. Subjects are tested for comprehension of their fundamental value exchange environment, and then reminded during each of 25 periods of its declining new value.
