Deadlock-free flow control should be designed with minimal cost, particularly for on-chip designs where area and power resources are greatly constrained. While Bubble Flow Control, proposed a decade ago, can avoid deadlock in VCT-switched tori with only one virtual channel (VC), there has been no working solution for wormhole switching that achieves ...

An Automatic Bubble Flow Meter
Acta Physiologica Scandinavica, 1962AbstractThe construction of an automatic bubble flow meter for measurement of arterial or venous blood flow is described. The blood passes through a plastic tubing kept at a constant temperature by a water thermostat. An air bubble is automatically injected into the tubing and the passage of the bubble is detected by two phototransistors.

CFD MODELING OF ADIABATIC BUBBLY FLOW
Multiphase Science and Technology, 2011This paper describes the simulation of adiabatic gas-liquid flow based on the Eulerian approach. An adequate characterization of the momentum exchange between the phases is necessary. The basic experiment investigating the momentum exchange is vertical upward flow in a pipe.

Bubble size and flow characteristics of bubbly flow downstream of a ventilated cylinder
Chemical Engineering Research and Design, 2017Abstract Bubbly flows downstream of a ventilated cylinder in a water tunnel are experimentally studied. Emphasis is placed upon the relationship between bubble property and carrier flow parameters. Under no-ventilation condition, the pure-water wake flow is measured with particle image velocimetry technique. Bubbles are generated with ventilation and

Annual Review of Fluid Mechanics, 2005
▪ Abstract Gravity-driven bubbly flows are a specific class of flows, where all action is provided by gravity. An industrial example is formed by the so-called bubble column: a vertical cylinder filled with liquid through which bubbles flow that are introduced at the bottom of the cylinder.

Microstructure of the flow field around a bubble in counter-current bubbly flow
Experimental Thermal and Fluid Science, 2002Abstract Experimental study was made on the flow structure around a bubble in air–water bubbly flow. In order to measure velocity profiles around a bubble, an Ultrasonic Velocity Profile monitor was employed, which can obtain an instantaneous velocity profile along its measuring line across a channel. The experiments were carried out in a 100×10 mm 2
