New Non-Intravenous Routes for Benzodiazepines in Epilepsy: A Clinician Perspective. [PDF]
Benzodiazepines represent the first-line treatment for the acute management of epileptic seizures and status epilepticus. The emergency use of benzodiazepines must be timely, and because most seizures occur outside of the hospital environment, there is a

Abstract This article reviews the pathological changes in the enamel of permanent mandibular cheek teeth and their sequelae in European roe deer from regions polluted by anthropogenic fluoride emissions. The primary (developmental) changes of fluorotic roe deer enamel are hypomineralization and microstructural aberrations, including enamel hypoplasia ...

Changes in chromatin state in donors subjected to physical stress [PDF]
The purpose of the present study is to evaluate changes in chromatin of human buccal epithelium under the influence of stressing factor - dosed physical activity. Investigations were performed in a group of students (13 men) of age 19-23. Cells were stained on a slide by a 2% orcein solution in 45% acetic acid during 1 h.

Abstract Silesaurids (Archosauria: Dinosauriformes) are found in Middle to Upper Triassic deposits across Pangea, but few stratigraphic sections record the evolution of the group in one geographic area over millions of years. Here, we describe silesaurid remains from the oldest of the Upper Triassic stratigraphic sequence from the base of the Dockum ...

Human cell recovery after microwave irradiation [PDF]
Cells of human buccal epithelium of 6 male donors were exposed to microwave radiation (frequency f=36,64 GHz, power density E = 10, 100, and 400 mcW/cm^2). Exposure time in all experiments was 10 seconds. Heterochromatin was stained by 2% orcein in 45 % acetic acid. The stainability of cells with trypan blue (0,5 %) and indigocarmine (5 mM) after 5 min

A REVIEW ON STUDY OF BUCCAL PATCHES: CURRENT STATUS OF FORMULATION AND EVALUATION METHODS [PDF]
The main barrier for the oral delivery of most of the drugs as potential therapeutic agents is their extensive presystemic metabolism, instability in acidic environment resulting into inadequate and erratic oral absorption.

Properties of Chromatin in Human Cells as Characteristics of the State of Human Organism: A Review [PDF]
The state of chromatin in individual cells is directly related to the state of the whole organism and may be used for assessment of the state of the whole organism. Many hereditary diseases are connected with chromatin rearrangements. Chromatin distribution in cell nucleus is an important characteristic which may be applied for determination of disease
