Access to Finance and Innovation in the Canadian Food Processing
ABSTRACT Innovation is a presumed channel through which finance affects productivity, yet there is limited research testing the relationship between finance and innovation in the food manufacturing sector. The purpose of the paper is to explore the determinants (e.g., financing, R&D, firm size, expenditure on innovation) of the adoption of innovation ...

Mathematical simulation of power conditioning systems. Volume 1: Simulation of elementary units. Report on simulation methodology [PDF]
Methods and algorithms used for the simulation of elementary power conditioning units buck, boost, and buck-boost, as well as shunt PWM are described. Definitions are given of similar converters and reduced parameters. The various parts of the simulation

A new optimum topology switching DC-to-DC converter [PDF]
A novel switching dc-to-dc converter is presented, which has the same general conversion property (increase or decrease of the input dc voltage) as does the conventional buck-boost converter, and which offers through its new optimum topology higher ...

ABSTRACT Despite the broad focus on necessity‐ and opportunity‐driven entrepreneurship in research and policy, the entrepreneurial dichotomy within the agribusiness context has not been adequately addressed. This study contributes to closing this knowledge gap by examining youth's perceptions of agribusiness through the lens of the push‐pull motivation

Modified Fourth-Order Buck-Boost Converter
Some hundred DC/DC converters have been constructed. Here a modified one is investigated. The modification consists in the position of the output capacitor. This does not change the voltage transformation ratio, but leads to constant input current compared to a pulsating one in the original topology.

ABSTRACT Agricultural soils offer great potential for carbon sequestration through humus formation. One way to motivate farmers to build up humus is through humus programs. These are still at an early stage of development, poorly explored, and the number of participating farmers is low. Our aim is to explain the heterogeneity of farmers' willingness to
