Noncascading Quadratic Buck-Boost Converter for Photovoltaic Applications. [PDF]
The development of switching converters to perform with the power processing of photovoltaic (PV) applications has been a topic receiving growing interest in recent years. This work presents a nonisolated buck-boost converter with a quadratic voltage conversion gain based on the I–IIA noncascading structure.

A Reconfigurable Buck, Boost, and Buck-Boost Converter: Unified Model and Robust Controller [PDF]
The need for reconfigurable, high power density, and low-cost configurations of DC-DC power electronic converters (PEC) in areas such as the transport electrification and the use of renewable energy has spread out the requirement to incorporate in a single circuit several topologies, which generally result in an increment of complexity about the ...

In this paper, a novel buck-boost converter with the voltage gain of 2D - 1/1 - D is proposed. Output voltage is positive and the voltage stresses on the power switches and the diodes are low. Suggested topology is based on conventional boost converter. Proposed converter can provide a large step down voltage conversion ratio.

Transformer Isolated Buck-Boost Converters [PDF]
Of the single-switch dc-to-dc converters, those with the buck-boost voltage transfer function offer most potential for transformer coupling, hence isolation, at the kilowatt level. This paper highlights the limitations of the traditional magnetic coupled, buck-boost topology.

Integrated design & control of a buck boost converter [PDF]
This paper presents the integrated design and control of a buck boost converter (BBC). In the proposed methodology the design tool provides simultaneously the controller tuning and BBC design parameters in such a way that some closed-loop pre-specified static and dynamic behavior is obtained.

Bidirectional positive buck-boost converter [PDF]
In a positive buck-boost (PBB) converter, inductor current and capacitor voltage can be decoupled which may improve system stability. In fact for a specific level of capacitor voltage, the inductor current can be adjusted at different levels and can be utilized to increase the robustness of the converter against input voltage and load disturbances. But

The non‐inverting buck boost (NIBB) converter has attracted significant attention in recent years, as it shares ground between input and output, and the voltage stress of switches is lower. In order to investigate the differences between NIBB and conventional buck boost converters, a comprehensive comparison and analysis of these two converters were ...

A Modified Topology of Two-Switch Buck-Boost Converter
Two-switch buck-boost (TSBB) is one of the non-isolated dc-to-dc converters that can change its mode from among buck, boost, and buck-boost modes. Changing its mode is possible by controlling gate signals. This paper presents a novel modified topology of TSBB converter.
