A Novel BuckâBoost Converter Combining KY and Buck Converters
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2012In this letter, a buck-boost converter, i.e., 2D converter with a positive output voltage, is presented, which combines the KY converter and the traditional synchronously rectified (SR) buck converter. By doing so, the problem in voltage bucking of the KY converter can be solved, thereby increasing the application capability of the KY converter.

Two-Switch Semiquadratic Buck Converter
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2017A two-switch semiquadratic fifth-order buck converter belonging to a minimum-phase family is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter exhibits better dynamic performance, steady-state voltage gain in between conventional buck and quadratic buck converter. In view of this characteristic, it gives more bucking than the traditional buck converter. A

Controlling chaos in buck converters
ICECS'99. Proceedings of ICECS '99. 6th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.99EX357), 2003A dc-dc buck converter controlled by naturally sampled, constant-frequency pulse width modulation in continuous conduction mode gives rise to a great variety of behaviors, depending on the values of the parameters of the circuit. This paper reexamines the buck converter studied by Fossas and Olivar [1996] and analyzes a method of controlling chaos ...

Digitally controlled buck converter
2004 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37512), 2004Digitally controlled step down converter with different control law algorithms is studied in this paper. The state controller is designed to eliminate the start-up overshoot and reduce maximal dynamic error of load change response, but the state controller is not capable of eliminating the steady-state error under the load change condition. By using an

Optimal Control for Buck Converters
2019 22nd International Conference on Control Systems and Computer Science (CSCS), 2019The Power Converters play a big role in the use of renewable energy, like solar energy or wind energy. It is important that the performance and efficiency of these systems to be assured by modern control techniques.

Double-Frequency Buck Converter
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2009Improving the efficiency and dynamics of power converters is a concerned tradeoff in power electronics. The increase of switching frequency can improve the dynamics of power converters, but the efficiency may be degraded. A double-frequency (DF) buck converter is proposed to address this concern. This converter is comprised of two buck cells: one works

Buck converter controlled by Arduino Uno
2016 39th International Convention on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics (MIPRO), 2016The paper presents a buck converter controlled with microcontroller integrated on Arduino Uno board. The control is implemented by use of PI controller embedded on Arduino Uno board. Open loop control-to-output transfer function is obtained from measured step response.

A novel voltage-bucking/boosting converter: KY buck-boost converter
2008 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2008In this paper, a novel voltage-bucking/boosting converter, named as KY buck-boost converter (i.e. 2D converter) is presented herein. Unlike the traditional buck-boost converter, this converter possesses fast transient responses, similar to the behavior of the buck converter with synchronous rectification.
